Obituary for Addie Bell Medlock
Mrs. Addie Bell Medlock was born to the late Mr. James Stokes and Mrs. Ada Mae Ellis of Swainsboro. She lived most of her life in Metter, Georgia and was liked among the community, for those who knew her called her “Ma Bell”. She was employed at Criders Poultry for over twelve years, and did odd jobs during her lifetime.
Mrs. Addie Bell was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Swainsboro, but she also worshipped at other churches as well. She enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jessie Medlock, and two sons, Randolph Bowers and Ronnie Bowers.
Mrs. Medlock leaves the following loved ones to cherish fond memories: five sons: Mr. Clifford (Junior) Bowers of Swainsboro, Georgia, Mr. Clyde Bowers, Mr. Kenny Bowers, and Mr. Mark Bowers, all of Metter, Georgia and Mr. Donnie Bowers of Statesboro, Georgia; two daughters: Ms. Wanda Bowers Butler of Swainsboro, Georgia and Ms. Juanita Bowers of Lakeland, Georgia; two daughters-in-law: Minister Gwen Bowers and Mrs. Linda Bowers, both of Swainsboro, Georgia; ten grandchildren: Jaime Butler Wadley, Victoria Bowers, Jeannie Bowers, James Butler, Jr., Drevius Bowers, Shakeria Bowers, Kenny Bowers, Jr., CJ Bowers, Kyashia Bowers, and Miya Bowers; one stepdaughter, Ms. Rashida Bowers of Statesboro, Georgia; ten great-grandchildren, and a host of loving and caring relatives and friends.
