Obituary for Andrew Jones

Mr. Andrew Jones, Jr. was born in Bulloch county on September 17, 1947 to the late Mr. George and Mrs. Annie Tenner Jones. He was the husband of the late Mary Ann Eason.

Andrew lived in Bulloch county during his early years and attended the Bulloch county school system. Later in life, he relocated to Tattnall county with his family. He embraced life and enjoyed things such as going to the racetrack, fixing cars, sitting at the Jet Store, joy riding, playing the lottery, fishing, and watching westerns and The Young and The Restless on television. Andrew was employed at Randy’s Service Center for over thirty years, which he also loved and he visited often after retiring. But most of all, Andrew was well known for being very outspoken.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Annie Tenner Jones, and his wife, Mary Ann Eason.

Andrew leaves the following loved ones to cherish many fond memories: six children: Tijuana Jones, Andrew Jones, Jr. (Carla), Dean Eason, and Jaceyon Lanier, all of Metter, Georgia, Starr Johnson and Sheila Lane, both of Swainsboro, Georgia; two sisters: Caretha Jones of New York and Mary Jones of Reidsville, Georgia; nine brothers: George R. Jones of Collins, Georgia, Carl Jones (Martha Kay) of Tifton, Georgia, Kenneth Jones and Michael Jones, both of Statesboro, Georgia, Tommy Lee Jones (Cheryl) of Columbus, Georgia, John Jones (Angie) and Joe Jones, both of Claxton, Georgia, Dan Jones of Atlanta, Georgia and Felton Jones of Florida; six sisters-in-law: Barbara Walker, Margrett Hughes, Glennell Eason, Tammy Gay, Evalena Gay, and Geneva Lanier; fifteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a host of loving and caring nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
