Mrs. Annette Moore was born February 1, 1941, to the late J.C. Thomas and Versie M. Blake. She departed this life on Saturday November 16, 2024 at home with family by her side. She is preceded in death by her mother ad father, her husband Wadie Moore Sr., two sons Anthony Moore and Michael Moore, sisters Mildred Mainer, Jeannette Blake and granddaughter Latovia Hines.
Mrs. Annette was born in Daisy, GA. She lived the majority of her life in the Evans County community. She was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, auntie and cousin to her family and friends. She was known in the community for her faith in God, integrity and leadership skills. In 2023 she was voted “queen” of the Action Pack Senior Center in Claxton, GA. She had a positive impact on the lives of people around her; young and old. As family, we would often get asked, “How is Mrs. Annette?”, by people of all walks of life. Which showed her connections and relationships in the community. She lived her life based on her faith.
One of her most sought-after goals was to ensure all her children received a high school diploma. In 1986, her hard work, guidance, support and motivation were accomplished. Eight of eight children were high school graduates. She was employed for 20 plus years in the textile industry as a production trainer, along with the farming industry.
She leaves to cherish her memory: three sons: Mr. Charlie Blake (Lori),Washington state; Mr. Wadie Moore, Jr. (Beverly), Florida; and Alphonso Moore, Metter, GA. Three daughters: Ms. Cynthia Hines, Statesboro, GA; Mrs. Carol Adams (Kelly), Claxton, GA; and Lynette Tompkins (Ricky), Claxton, GA. 23 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
