Obituary for Bobbie Stuckey
Ms. Bobbie R. Stuckey was born on August 30, 1957 to Billie Jean Reese and the late Toylie Hendrix, Jr. She transcended to her heavenly home on Wednesday, July 25, 2018.
Ms. Stuckey was a native of Lyons, GA. She graduated from Lyons Senior High School in 1976. Ms. Stuckey joined Thomas Grove A.M.E. Church in 1979. She later became a resident of Claxton, GA where she raised her children. In 2010 she relocated to Statesboro, GA where she became employed at Georgia Southern University. In 2012, Ms. Stuckey graduated from Ashford University with her bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management. She enjoyed spending time with her family, attending and watching sporting events, but most importantly developing a deeper relationship with God.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories: her mother, Mrs. Billie Jean Stuckey Reese of Ft. Myers, FL; a beloved uncle Mr. Charles Stuckey (Otisteen) of Lyons, GA: two daughters: Mrs. Catawba Walton (Dexter) and Ms. Kendra Lane, both of Statesboro, GA; two sons: Mr.Chandler Stuckey of Winnipeg, Canada and Mr. Roland Lane, Jr. of Statesboro, GA ; four brothers: Mr. Darrell Stuckey, Fort Myers, FL,Mr. Douglas Stuckey Reese of Miami, FL; Mr. Carl Hendrix (Della) of Glennville, GA; and Mr. Steven Williams of Ocala, FL; two adopted brothers: Mr. Carlos Nails (Thomasina) of Manteca, CA; and Mr. Dell Eason of Columbia, SC; four sisters: Mrs. Cathy Brewton (Melvin) of Claxton, GA; Mrs. Rhonda Smith (Terry) of District Heights, MD; Ms. Lawanda Hendrix of Claxton, GA; and Ms. Larae Hendrix of Lithonia, GA; three adopted sisters: Ms. Mary Wyatt of Claxton, GA; and Mrs. Karen Nails-Porter (Derrick) of Daytona Beach, FL and Ms. Ken Eason Porter of Montezuma, GA; seven grandchildren: Jalen, Jada, Ciera, Christian, Madison, Emmanuel (EJ) and Jordan; one great grand-child: Emilee. Ms. Stuckey leaves behind three life-long friends: Mrs. Constance McClain, Ms. Bessie Furman and Ms. Sharon Day. Two close friends: Ms. Patricia Hall and Ms. Brenda Gray.
