Obituary for Bobby Andrews
Deacon Bobby “Coach” Andrews was called home to be with God on Thursday, April 14, 2016 following a brief illness from GRU Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia. He was born on April 14, 1963 in Greenwood, South Carolina to the late Deacon Leroy and Deaconess Eugenia Chiles Andrews. At an early age, Bobby accepted Christ and joined Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Greenwood, South Carolina. Upon relocation to Swainsboro, Georgia, he united with The Greater St. James Missionary Baptist Church. He was ordained as a Deacon on August 1, 1999 and served as Chairman of the Deacon’s Ministry since 2013. Mr. Bobby Andrews graduated from Greenwood High School, Greenwood, South Carolina in 1981, from Livingstone College in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health and Physical Education, from Cambridge College in 2003 and 2006 with a Master of Education in Integrated Studies and Educational Specialist in Administration Leadership Degrees, respectively. He was employed as a Health and Physical Education Teacher with the Decatur County Board of Education for one year and with the Emanuel County Board of Education for the past twenty-seven years. Brother Bobby served as the Senior Warden of the St. Phillip Masonic Lodge No. 96. He was the Past President of the Pin Hi Golf Club Association and a Brother of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. At the time of this demise, Bobby was the Director of the Emanuel County Alternative School and the Head Coach for the Swainsboro High School Varsity Basketball Team. Bobby was also a member of the Emerald City Official Association. Coach Andrews leaves to cherish his memories: a loving and devoted wife of twenty-five years, Mrs. Zenobia Frazier Andrews; three children, Mr. Oscar Emmanuel Frazier, Mr. Bobby Julius Andrews, and Little Miss Maddison Alyssa Andrews, all of Swainsboro, Georgia; one sister, Minister Sharon Andrews McGill of Greenwood, South Carolina; three brothers-in-law: Mr. Mack Oscar Frazier of Albany, Georgia, Mr. Arthur Lee Frazier of Tampa, Florida and Mr. Timothy Dewayne Frazier of Bainbridge, Georgia; four sisters-in-law: Mrs. Deloris (Johnny) Jones of Albany, Georgia; Ms. Daisy Frazier of Bainbridge, Georgia; Ms. Beverly Frazier of Atlanta, Georgia and Mrs. Valerie (L.C.) Griffin of Horn Lake, Mississippi; two uncles: Mr. Joseph (Aggie) Chiles of Greenwood, South Carolina and Mr. Arthur (Annette) Chiles of Asbury Park, New Jersey; four aunts: Mrs. Sarah Davis of Buffalo, New York, Mrs. Annie (Floyd) Harrison, Mrs. Lillie B. Andrews and Mrs. Ann Chiles, all of Greenwood, South Carolina; two grandchildren: Little Miss Nionia Holland of Vidalia, Georgia and Little Mister Nigel Frazier of Tallahassee, Florida; four special nieces: Mrs. Tiana F. (Michael) Williams and Ms. NeShanta Frazier, both Atlanta, Georgia, Ms. Britney McGill and Ms. Breona McGill, both of Greenwood, South Carolina; four God Daughters: Mrs. Micha (Ralph) Prude of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Ms. Alexandria L. Parker - Roberson, Ms. Alexis T, Parker - Roberson, and Ms. Angelia Parker - Roberson, all of Swainsboro, Georgia; three surrogate brothers: Mr. Michael E. Parker of Union City, Georgia; Dea. John E. Parker of Swainsboro, Georgia and Dea. Milton T. (Debby) Graham of Wadley, Georgia; one surrogate sister, Mrs. Rosalind M. (Karl) Harris of Fort Valley, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, students, faculty members, and friends.
