Obituary for Cassandra Eyvette Baldwin
Cassandra Eyvette Baldwin was born in Emanuel County, Georgia on December 6, 1954 to loving parents, Charles Crosby II and Precious Easter Baldwin. She was reared in a Christian home and at a very early age, accepted Christ into her life and became a member of St. Philip Baptist Church, Swainsboro, Georgia. She later moved to Atlanta, Georgia after she graduated from high school in 1972. She then joined Piney Grove Baptist Church and served her church faithfully until her health failed. Her service and life as a Christian was evident of her unwavering faith in God. During her life, she touched many lives, especially her family and friends.
Cassandra received her early education in the public school system of Emanuel County and graduated from Swainsboro High School (SHS) where she participated in chorus. She received her degree in Business from Marsh-Draughon Business College when she began the old of work with Equifax as a Data Processor for several years. Next she sought a more challenging career with Lanier Industries, where she retired after forty years.
Cassandra was preceded in death by her daddy, Charles Crosby Baldwin, II. Cassandra leaves to cherish her memories a loving, devoted daughter, Carnelia Eyvette Byrd Johnson (NIcholas Johnson); two loving granddaughters: Nichayla Giovani John and Savannah Nichelle Johnson; her loving mother, Mrs. Precious E. Southerland; three sisters: Thae Althea Davis (Leroy Davis), Gwendolyn Bonita Ford (the late Jerry Ford), andd Daphne Lavetta Sherrod (Jerry Sherrod); two step-sisters: Audrey Thomasina Davis and Juanita Southerland; loving and special friends, Albert White and Marjorie Bell, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other friends.
