Obituary for Debbie Sue Byrd
Ms. Debbie Sue Byrd was born September 21, 1921 in Candler County, Georgia to the late Ernest King and Rebecca Lanier. She was a member of Thankful Baptist Church where she played piano and sang with the choir. She was also a member of the Usher Board, where she served as President for many years. She attended the public schools of Candler County. She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Mr. Billie Earl Byrd and daughter-in-law Mrs. Virginia A. Byrd of Woodbridge, VA; two sisters, Ann B. Smith of East Point, GA and Carrie B. Miller of Pennsauken, NJ; one sister-in-law, Bearneas Lanier of Metter, GA, four grandchildren, Velvet L. Abram (Johnnie), Tracey S. Brown (S. Lee), Billy E. Byrd (Michelle), Tennille C. Byrd (Erich Tucker) of Alexandria, VA; five great grandchildren, Brad Brown (Danielle), Todd Abram (Janaya), Darres Brown, Amari and Raven Byrd; three great great-grandchildren, Amyir Branch, Amor’e Brown, Ariyah Abram; one great great-God grandchild, Caleb Mincey; God children Wesley and April Howard of Warner Robins, GA; two nieces, Mrs. Gertie Johnson of Savannah, GA and Mrs. Eula Hodges of Metter, GA; and a host of other nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
