Obituary for Dorsey Clifton Mincey
Dorsey Clifton Mincey was born February 21, 1959 in Candler County Georgia to the late Otis and Essie Mae Mincey. He departed his life on Saturday September 29, 2018 after an extended illness.
Dorsey attended the public school in Candler County graduating from Metter High School in 1977. He worked on numerous jobs but farming was his passion and worked with Hendrix Farms for an extended amount of years until his illness. He also had a passion for fishing doing mechanic work and was very supportive in his community giving to others when needed. Dorsey was a member of the Sanctuary Church of God in Stillmore Georgia, where he gave his life to Christ. He was a devoted and loving father, brother, and friend. Dorsey will be dearly missed by all of those whose lives he touched in many special ways. Dorsey is preceded in death by his close companion Jacklyn Allen, one brother, Otis Thomas Mincey, and three sisters, Nancy Corley, Diane Mincey Milledge and Camilla Lynn Harden.
He leaves the following loved ones behind to cherish many special memories: one daughter, Nicole Daniels of Hinesville Georgia; one son, Dorsey Clifford Mincey II of Swainsboro, Georgia; four brothers: James Thomas Mincey of Connecticut, Willie James Mincey(Diane) Delran, New Jersey, Ben L. Mincey (Ernestine) of Columbus South Carolina, and Stephen Mincey (Susan) of Stillmore Georgia; two sisters: Novella Mincey Johnson (Leon) of Metter, Georgia and Mary Johnson of New Jersey; one sister- in- law, Joann Mincey of Metter, Georgia; one brother-in-law, Bruce Harden of Metter, Georgia; two special friends: Stephanie Byrd and Joey Collins, both of Metter Georgia; five grandchildren and many loving and caring aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
