Obituary for Eugene Mikell
Mr. Eugene Mikell was born on June 13, 1954 in Statesboro, Georgia to the late Mr. James B. (JB) Mikell, Sr. and the late Mrs. Queen Esther Mikell.
Eugene worked hard all of his life, supporting his family as a farmer with the Durden Brothers of Candler county for many years. He was currently employed with the Candler County Board of Commissioners, where he was a faithful employee. Eugene accepted Christ into his life, and joined Tremont Temple Baptist Church in Metter.
He was preceded in death by his six siblings: Annie Lue Wells, Bobby Mikell, Winston Mikell, Carl Mikell, Mary DeLoach and Hercules Bells.
Eugene Mikell leaves the following loved ones to cherish his memory: eight children: Ms. Shella Byrd of Swainsboro, Georgia, Mr. Eugene R. Cash (Melissa) of Brimington, Georiga, Ms. Lois Mikell of Metter, Georgia, Ms. Keisha Mack, Ms. Keyotta Mikell, Ms. Bionka Mikell and Ms. Ah’layjah Mikell, all of Swainsboro, Georgia and Ms. Tyronda Collins of Metter, Georgia; four sisters: Mrs. Robbie Rock of Register, Georgia, Mrs. Nellie Mae Parrish (Dave) of Twin City, Georgia, Mrs. Della Mae Mercer, Ms. Barbara Ann Mikell and Ms. Maxine Mikell, all of Cobbtown, Georgia; one brother: Mr. James B. Mikell, Jr. (Annie Lee) of Metter, Georgia; one sister-in-law: Mrs. Mary Lou Mikell of Portal, Georgia; a special friend, Ms. Sandy Booker of Metter, Georgia; fourteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many loving and caring nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
