Obituary for Eula Mae Harley
Ms. Eula Mae Harley was born on August 23, 1933 in Metter, Georgia to the late Mr. Clyde Harley and the late Mrs. Deronnie Dekle Harley. She passed into eternal rest on Sunday, September 6, 2020 after an extended illness.
Ms. Harley attended the Candler County public schools and was a high school graduate. At the age of sixteen, she accepted Christ into her life and joined Sams Creek Baptist Church, where she served as an usher for forty-two years. Eula was a member of Sams Creek until her death. Eula was a talented seamstress and she enjoyed crocheting, but she had a special love of flowers. She was a member of the Cherokee Rose Garden Club for forty-five years. Eula worked as a Social Services Assistant with Community Action and retired from Metter Nursing Home in 1995.
Eula was preceded in death by her parents, one son: Yancey Harley; one granddaughter, Erica Everett, and four sisters: Mary Lou Harley Byrd, Minnie Coaxum, Marietta Pendergraph, and Myrtis Evans.
Ms. Eula Harley leaves the following loved ones to cherish her memories: two daughters: Ms. Laverne Everett of Cincinnati, Ohio and Mrs. Sabrina Henry-Montgomery (Shaheed) of Dacula, Georgia; one sister, Mrs. Emma Mincey of Cincinnati, Ohio; five grandchildren: DeShawntaze Davis of Cincinnati, Ohio, DaSheme Slater, Attallah Montgomery, Qubilah Montgomery, and Malika Montgomery, all of Dacula, Georgia; and a host of loving and caring nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
