Sister Gloria Brewton Nunnally, the child of the late Willie Lee Brewton, Sr. and Laura Etta Brewton, was born on February 4, 1947 in Evans County. “G-Money” by all that knew and loved her, G-Money was an energetic, generous, vibrant and loving person. She had many wonderful qualities such as compassion and a loving spirit and was a peace maker.
She attended the Evans County High School, home of the Long Horns. She joined Jerusalem Missionary Church in 1982. Gloria married the love of her life, Mr. Jeremiah Nunnally (AKA Doo-Bee) and they were together for 43 years along with the 19 years in a relationship with a total of 62 years until her death.
She had four boys and one girl: William Seay Brewton, Julian Lattimore Mattox, Laura Mae Nunnally, Duane Ellington Nunnally, Jeremy Cedric Nunnally.
Gloria had one brother, Willie Lee Brewton Sr, and two sisters, Pastor Idelia Brewton Love and Cynthia Marie Brewton Smith, to precede her in death.
To esteem her memories is a loving, devoted mother, Laura Etta Carlton Brewton, and all the grandchildren who were the apple of her eye, 20 in total, and a host of godsons and goddaughters that she loved dearly; and all the nieces, nephews, and cousins. She also leaves aunts: Rosetta Burgest and Clara Brewton of Daisy, GA; Pastor Lillie West Brewton of Claxton, GA; and Lettie Carlton of Savannah, GA.
