Obituary for Inez Rebecca Fletcher
Ms. Inez Rebecca Fletcher, also known as Ms. Beck, left this life peacefully on August 17, 2020 at the age of 107. She was born on May 1, 1913 in Emanuel County. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Hosea Simmons and the late Mrs. Mamie Roundtree.
In her early years, she became a member of the Trinity Baptist Church. Ms. Beck was known for having many talents. She enjoyed tending to her flowers, cooking, loving her family, and helping anyone in need. She was known for having a sharp mind and speaking her mind no matter what anyone else thought. When her health began to decline, Ms. Beck was admitted to Pruitt Nursing Home, where she resided and supported by her loving family, friends and caregivers until her passing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Lee Gay; one son, John Wright; one grandchild, Angela Williams, and one great-grandchild, Whitney Johnson.
Ms. Beck leaves the following loved ones behind to cherish her memory: two daughters: Mrs. Mamie Robertson (Tommy) of Swainsboro, Georgia and Mrs. Fannie Williams of Trotwood, Ohio; one son, Mr. John (Buddy) Fletcher, Jr. of Dayton, Ohio; two Goddaughters: Ms. Netta Davis and Mrs. Rhoda Wadley, both of Swainsboro, Georgia; one Godson, Mr. Ronald (Fat) Williams; ten grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, eleven great-great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends she raised.
