Obituary for Iris Felicia Mills Bacon
Sis. Iris Felicia Mills Bacon was born on October 11, 1971 in Evans county Georgia to the late Deacon Fletcher Lee Mills and Mrs. Wilma Mills. She was called to rest on March 1, 2021. She graduated from Claxton High School in 1990. She attended Ogeechee Technical College, where she obtained her degree in Computer Information Systems, and later received her certificate to become a CNA. Sis. Bacon was a member of the United House of Prayer for All People since birth. In 2018, on October 19th, she was joined in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Gary Bacon. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant with Coastal Home Care in Statesboro, Georgia until her health began to decline. Sis. Bacon worked diligently in the United House of Prayer until she was called to rest. She was a strong and dedicated worker until the end. She served as the General Secretary of Bellville Mission faithfully for seven years. Sis. Bacon was an active member of the Senior Usher Board Mission for many years. She was preceded in death by her loving father, Deacon Fletcher Lee Mills and her loving sister, Saint Rita E. Huff. Sis. Iris Felicia Mills Bacon leaves the following loved ones to cherish her memories: her husband: Mr. Gary Bacon; her loving mother, Sis. Wilma Mills of Bellville, Georgia; two daughters: Ms. Audryanna Mills of Augusta, Georgia and Ms. Samaria Williams of Bellville, Georgia; one grandson, Marsalis Ligon, Jr. of Augusta, Georgia; two devoted brothers: Deacon Perry (Sylvia) Mills of Newport News, Virginia and Deacon Wayne (Vernell) Mills of Bellville, Georgia; four loving sisters: St. Delorine (late Eld. Tony) Scott of Charlotte, North Carolina, St. Pamela (Apostle Freddie) Brown of Pooler, Georgia, Sis. Carolyn (Phillip) McKenzie of Augusta, Georgia, and Sis. Allie Jenkins of Savannah, Georgia; three brothers-in-law: Mr. Anthony Bacon, Mr. Jerome Bacon, Jr., and Mr. Mikel Bacon; two sisters-in-law: Mrs. Shirley Harvey and Ms. Sandra Bacon; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
