Obituary for James Butler, Jr.
Mr. James Butler, Jr. (Jay) was born in Statesboro, Georgia on September 22, 1990 to Mr. James Butler and Mrs. Wanda Bowers Butler. At the age of 4 years old, he was enrolled at the Tattnall County Pre-K Center, which he loved and thought that he was at work.
He grew up in the towns of Sylvania and Adrian, then later resided in Statesboro. He became a truck driver at the age of twenty, and also attended different colleges. He enjoyed being with his family and friends.
Jay was preceded in death by his grandparents, Willie James and Rosa Lee Hobbs, and Addie Bell Medlock; three uncles: Randolph Bowers, Ronnie Bowers, and Isaac Butler; and one aunt, Rosetta Butler Hodge.
Survivors include his parents, Mr. James Butler Sr. of Metter, Georgia and Mrs. Wanda Bowers Butler of Swainsboro, Georgia; one daughter, Jada Butler of Adrian, Georgia; three sisters: Mrs. Jaime Butler Wadley of Cincinnati, Ohio, Ms. Shonda Hall of Metter, Georgia and Carnesa Jenkins of Macon, Georgia; two brothers: Mr. Jeremy Dekle of Seattle, Washington and Semaj Butler of Metter, Georgia; eight uncles: Mr. Richard Hobbs, Mr. Sammie Butler, Mr. Willie James Butler, Mr. Clyde Bowers, Mr. Kenny Bowers and Mr. Mark Bowers, all of Metter, Georgia, Mr. Clifford (Junior) Bowers of Swainsboro, Georgia and Mr. Donnie Bowers of Statesboro, Georgia; two aunts: Ms. Gazette Butler of Metter, Georgia and Ms. Juanita Bowers of Lakeland, Georgia; three nieces: Amber, Ameni and Ava Wadley; his brothers he thought the world of: Tevin, Curtis, Ty, Robert, Chris (Pac Man) and Travonte’ (Moo Moo); and a host of loving and caring cousins and friends.
