After graduation, Judy attended Atlanta Junior College and Georgia State University, where she majored in nursing. On December 16, 1978, she was joined in Holy Matrimony to Isadore Alphonso Swint Jr. Unto this union, two daughters were born, Nina Leshea and Niki Lakita.

At an early age, Judy accepted Christ into her life and became a member of Mercer Grove Baptist Church. While residing in Atlanta, she was under watch care at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Upon returning to Metter, Judy united with Thankful Missionary Baptist Church under the pastoral leadership of Rev. Dr. R.A. Lawrence Jr. She served faithfully on the Usher board and the Mission department. She was the Queen of Victory Association Women’s Auxiliary President and the Middleview Usher’s Convention Program Chair.

Judy worked for 30 years as the administrative assistant at Metter Middle School. After retirement she worked part time at Coastal Plains Charter High School as the office manager. Dedicated to her community, she served on the Metter Housing Authority Board and the Metter Tree Board. She was a lifetime member of the NAACP.

She was preceded in death by her father, Grover Lanier; her sister, Jean Amos; and her daughter Niki Swint.
