Obituary for Leslie Vanessa Byrd
A Time to Be Born: Leslie Vanessa Byrd was born August 2, 1960 in Savannah, Georgia to the late Ms. Celia Wiley and the late Mr. Lucious Hall. Preceding her in death were Valerie Eason and Cecelia Jeanine Williams.
A Time for Education: Leslie attended the public school systems of Chatham county and Tattnall county. She was a 1978 graduate of Glennville High School. In 2003, Leslie graduated from Southeastern Technical College with an Associate Degree in Business.
A Time to Worship: In the 1990s, she joined Mt. of Holiness. Later, she became a member of Healing Clinic Ministries under the leadership of the late Idella Love.
A Time to Love: In 1977, Leslie Wiley and Albert Morales were joined in Holy Matrimony. To this union, one daughter, Melissa Morales, was born. In later years, she was united in marriage to Ulyssee Fair. In 2004, she was joined in Holy Matrimony to Eric Byrd, and they remained married until her death.
A Time to Die: On August 12, 2022 at Memorial Hospital, Savannah, Georgia, God dispatched his Angel and called Leslie home to receive her crown of life.
A Time to Mourn: She leaves to cherish her memories: A devoted husband, Mr. Eric Byrd of Hagan, Georgia; one daughter, Ms. Melissa Morales of Glennville, Georgia; one brother, Mr. Norman (Yolanda) Slaughter of Lyons, Georgia; one sister, Ms. Barbara Jeanine Wiley of Glennville, Georgia; her mother-in-law, Mrs. Ruby Byrd of Hagan, Georgia; two sisters-in-law: Ms. Erica Byrd of Hagan, Georgia and Ms. Elissa Byrd of Rincon, Georgia; a special friend, Ms. Reba Hankerson of Glennville, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
