Obituary for Mae Alice Brinson
Mrs. Mae Alice Brinson was born on February 15, 1950 in Emanuel County, Georgia, to her loving parents, the late Mr. Porter and Mrs. Gloria Edwards. She departed this life on October 21, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, James Edwards.
On September 5, 1967, Mae Alice was united in marriage to George Brinson, Jr and to this union four children were born, Deirdre Brinson- Brown, Darlene Brinson-Moore, Daphne Brinson-Strobridge and Denise Brinson-Heard.
Mae Alice joined the Gethsemane Baptist Church in Lexsy, Georgia at an early age. She served as a faithful member and as the Pastor’s Aid Chairperson. She also served as President of the Missionary Ministry, Sunday School Teacher and Assistant Sunday School Teacher for the 5th Sunday School Convention. Mae Alice retired from Georgia Home Healthcare and began to serve her community in various facets. She also enjoyed traveling and visiting her children and grandchildren.
Mae Alice leaves to cherish her memories: a loving husband of 54 years, Mr. George Brinson, Jr of Swainsboro, Georgia; four daughters, Mrs. Deirdre Brinson-Brown (Stan) of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Mrs. Darlene Brinson-Moore (Michael) of Albany, Georgia, Mrs. Daphne Brinson-Strobridge (Freddie) of Swainsboro, Georgia and Mrs. Denise Brinson-Heard (Damon) of Dunwoody, Georgia; six grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Dorothy Gillis; two brothers, Mr. Eddie Edwards and Mr. George Edwards (Mary) both of Lexsy, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
