Obituary for Marilyn Ann Reeves
Marilyn Ann (Prosser) Reeves, age 64 and affectionately known as “Susie”, passed away on March 7, 2019, after succumbing to complications with her battle with Cancer. Daughter of the late Doretha Prosser, Marilyn gave her life to Jesus Christ at a young age as a member of Jordan Station AME Church in Tennille, GA. She was a 1972 graduate of Washington County High School and went on to earn her Bachelor of Science degree from Old Dominion University (VA). She had recently retired from a 40 year long career in Nursing. The majority of her career was in service to our military soldiers as a civil service employee with the Department of Defense. Her most recent position was with the US Army as a Nurse Case Manager for Wounded Warriors in Transition at Fort Benning, GA. She is survived by her husband, Larry Reeves (Sandersville, GA); daughters, Shannon Reeves (Ronald Flythe) of Chesapeake, VA and Tiffany Reeves (Kristopher Hunter) of Jacksonville, FL; stepson, Ken Curry of Herndon, VA; sister, Sharon Boston (Michael) of Swainsboro, GA; brother, Tony Prosser of Detroit, Michigan; grandchildren, Tyson Reeves, Kameron Hunter, and Ian Flythe; Mother in law, Christine Reeves of Sandersville, GA; Sister in law, Cathy Reeves Coles of Atlanta, GA; brother in laws, Gary Reeves of Monterey, CA and Chester Reeves of Sandersville, GA; nieces, Shayna Boston, Miya Boston both of Swainsboro, GA; nephews, Delrico Reeves of Milledgeville, GA, Tony Prosser, Jr of Detroit, MI, William Reeves of Eureka, CA; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends
