Obituary for Martha Warner Roberson
Mrs. Martha Warner Roberson was born December 2, 1931 to the late Charlie Warner Sr., and Vallie Burton Warner. She was married to the late Mr. Ralph E. Roberson. To this union, one child was born, Mr. Renar M. Roberson. She was educated in the Emanuel and Candler County public school systems. She graduated from Fort Valley State College. She received her Master's degree in Early Childhood Education from Banks Street Teachers College. She was an educator in school systems in Georgia, Nevada and New Jersey for over thirty years.
She joined the Willow Spring Baptist Church at an early age. After retirement, she returned to Twin City, Georgia at that time, reunited with the Willow Spring Baptist Church, and served faithfully until her death. She is preceded in death by: her father, Charlie Warner, Sr., her mother, Vallie Burton Warner, and her stepmother, Agnes Green Warner; siblings: Fred Lee Sr., Randolph, Levi, Jonathan and Robert Warner.
Mrs. Roberson is survived by one son, Mr. Renar Michael Roberson of Fuquay Varina, North Carolina; two sisters, Mrs. Juanita Brown (Elgia) of Atlantic Beach, Florida and Mrs. Evelyn Walker (Louis) of Twin City, Georgia; three brothers: Mr. Charlie Warner, Jr. (Juanita) of Mulberry, Florida, Mr. James E. Green (Cora) of Statesboro, Georgia and Mr. Ennis Warner (Mary) of Twin City, Georgia; two sisters-in-law: Mr. Jessie Mae Wynn Warner of Ft. Pierce, Florida and Mrs. LaRosa Black Warner of Lakeland, Florida; one aunt, Mrs. Mavonia Warner of Ft. Pierce, Florida and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
