Obituary for Shirley Ann Brown
Mrs. Shirley Ann Brown passed away on Monday, October 12, 2020 at Hazlehurst Care & Rehab Center, succumbing of pancreatic cancer. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Herman and Mrs. Mary Robinson, born on September 2, 1947. Shirley was a native of Savannah Georgia, where she attended the public schools of Chatham County. She enjoyed lots of sports and loved being a member of the Frank Boys & Girls Club, where she played basketball & softball. Shirley loved working and washing cars at Auto Magic Car Wash on Victory & Montgomery, which she did for ten years. Shirley Ann Robinson met her soul mate Mr. Burnace Brown Sr., and they became husband and wife in 1985. Soon after, they became residents in the city of Hagan in Evans county until her passing. They both were members of Historic Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Michael Paul Dickerson. Both Mr. & Mrs. Brown Served on the Usher Board. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Mary Robinson, her only son, Richard Robinson, her oldest sister, Mary Ellen Robinson and two brothers: Herman Robinson and Arthur Thomas Robinson. Mrs. Shirley Ann Brown leaves the following loved ones to cherish her memories: her loving soul mate of thirty-five years, Mr. Burnace Brown Sr. of Claxon Georgia; one daughter, Ms. Barbara (Nathanial) Robinson of Pooler Georgia; one sister Mrs. Evelyn Williams of Savannah, Georgia; seven stepdaughters: Ms. Angie Crawford, Ms. Carolyn Brown, Ms. Lucille Brown, Ms. Marshane Crawford, Ms. Faye Brown, Ms. Pheline Brown and Ms. Lynda G. Brown; one stepson: Mr. Burnace Brown, Jr.; two adopted sons; four granddaughters: Mrs. Cherrelle (Alfronzo) Fields, Mrs. Erica (James) Wilson, Mrs. Shakera Wilson, and Ms. Symone Graybill; five great-grandchildren: Zarie Reese, James Braddy IV, Zoey Wallace, Jayla Braddy and Cayden Fields; five nieces: Ms. Estella Sims, Ms. Carolyn Jones, Ms. Celia Street, Ms. Gloria Richardson and Ms. Teresa Wright; two nephews: Mr. David Wright and Mr. Henry L. Robinson; and a host of grandnieces, grandnephews, other relatives and friends.
