Obituary for Vernese Johnson
Mrs. Vernese “Ease” Mincey Johnson was born to the late Charlie Mincey and Georgia James Mincey on September 17, 1928 in Manassas, Georgia. She passed away Monday, June 27, 2016 at Glenvue Nursing Home, Glennville, Georgia.
She attended public school in Tattnall County. At an early age, she joined Oak Grove A.M.E. Church, Manassas, Georgia. She later joined the United House of Prayer, Claxton, Georgia. She served on the Ushers’ Board.
She was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Robert Willie Johnson on June 6, 1940. She retired from the Claxton Nursing Home after ten years of service.
Vernese “Ease” Mincey Johnson leaves to cherish her memory: one brother: Mr. Coy (Deloise) Mincey of Patterson, New Jersey; 12 nieces; 8 nephews; and a host of other great-nieces and great-nephews.
