Mr. Wesley Branch, Jr. was born on December 13, 1952, to Mrs. Sylvester D. Bush and Mr. Wesley Branch, Sr., in Fort Pierce, Florida.
He received his formal education in Highlands County and Broward County Public school systems, graduating from Northeast Senior High and Sheridan Vocational Center as a Certified Automotive Mechanic. Wesley was very passionate about his work and on any given day, he could be found working on someone’s car or truck.
Wesley left South Florida about fifteen years ago, relocating and settling in Claxton, Georgia. He continued working as a mechanic, and later worked at Claxton’s Poultry Co. until he retired.
He loved his family and would travel frequently back and forth to south Florida to visit them and his friends. He also loved driving his 1993 Ford truck, listening to his music, frying turkeys for the holidays, and eating his favorite dessert, his sister’s earthquake cake!!
After a brief, yet intense illness, the Lord said, “enough”, and quietly called Wesley home on Friday, April 28, 2023, at 11:30a.m. Wesley was preceded in death by both parents, his older brother, James, an older sister, Louise and a younger sister, Mary.
He is survived by five sisters: Georgia, Jeddie, Jo, Juanita, and Liz; two younger brothers: Charles and Willie: four adult children, including his loving youngest son, Tremaine. He will be deeply missed by his nieces and nephews, a devoted long-time girlfriend, Jackie and dear friend/brothers: King, Anthony, Shortchange and Larry.
