Mr. Anthony Porter passed into eternal rest on November 10, 2019. He was born in Virginia and upon reaching adulthood, he relocated to New York. He worked as a police officer for many years until retirement. He accepted Christ into his life at an early age and served faithfully as a Deacon in his church. One of his favorite songs was "If it had not been for the Lord on my side, tell me where would I be? Where would I be?" He was married to Inez Gibson Porter for over fifty years. They had two children, Ron and Jacinda, and many loving grandchildren. In addition, Mr. Porter had five sisters, several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
