Mr. Leon James "Sonny" Johnson was born on November 26, 1952, in Emanuel county to the late Mr. Joseph Sr. and Mrs. Mary Walton Johnson. He attended the Emanuel County School System. Leon accepted Christ in his life while living in Swainsboro, Georgia. He was employed by Hallmark Company and as a farmer for many years. On August 8, 2018, he was joined in Holy Matrimony to Ms. Novella Mincey. He was preceded in death by his parents and thirteen siblings. Mr. Leon James "Sonny" Johnson leaves the following loved ones behind to cherish fond memories: a wife, Mrs. Novella Johnson of Stillmore, Georgia; five daughters: Mrs. Angela (Walter) Herrington, Ms. Annie James, and Ms. Jennifer Johnson, all of East Dublin, Georgia, Mrs. Shelia (Clarence) Woods of Eustin, Florida and Ms. Veronica James of Stockbridge, GA; three sons, Mr. Leon James, Jr., and Mr. Leon James Johnson II, both of Swainsboro, Georgia, and Mr. David Johnson of Macon, Georgia; two sisters, Ms. Martha Johnson of Swainsboro, Georgia and Ms. Beverly Henry of Midville, Georgia; five brothers: Mr. Raymond (Carol) Hooks of Swainsboro, Georgia, Mr. Paul Johnson of Statesboro, Georgia, Mr. Cecil Johnson and Mr. Joseph Johnson, Jr., both of Jacksonville, Florida, and Mr. Willie (Serrina) Johnson of Nunez, GA.; twenty one grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and a host of loving relatives and friends.
