Mr. Eddie James Mincey, Jr., a devoted husband and loving father, was called home on July 3, 2022. Eddie was born on June 19, 1963, in Claxton, Georgia, to Eddie James Mincey, Sr. and Susie Mae Mincey (née Brown). To some, he was known as EJ, to others, Muscles, but no matter what nickname he is remembered by, he will always be remembered for his wisdom, genuine laughs, and altruistic personality. Eddie, Jr., was a giver. Whether he was giving advice to help someone make a major decision or giving The Word to help someone with their journey in life, he always did so with love and compassion. Family was important to Eddie, Jr., and he made every effort to make sure that was apparent. He loved being at home with his wife and children, as well as visiting his parents and siblings. He is preceded in death by his wife Cheryl Mincey, children Casey and Lacy Mincey, and sister, Twindell Mincey. Eddie is survived by his children, Jessica and Brandon. He is also survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Mincey, Sr., and his brother, Timotheus Mincey. Eddie, Jr., had a contagious laugh and smile that could brighten anyone's day. He epitomized inner joy and outward gratitude. He will be missed.
