Obituary

Mother Emmaretta B. Coley transitioned from this life peacefully Saturday, March 17, 2018 at the Glenvue Rehabilitation and Nursing home. She was born September 26, 1933 to the late Frank Bethea and Lucille Davis Bethea in Tattnall County, Georgia. She attended school in the Tattnall and Evans County School Systems. At an early age she joined the First African Missionary Baptist Church, Glennville, Georgia. She later joined the Mt. Zion Outreach Ministries under Watch Care. She was married to the Late Ruben Coley and to this union four sons were born. She later married E. T. Taylor who preceded her in death. Three sons, Eddie Coley, Stanley Coley and Rufus Coley also preceded her in death. Mother Emmaretta Coley leaves to cherish her memories, One son, Edward L. Coley of Glennville, GA, Six grandchildren and a numerous great-grands; two brothers: Waldo Bethea and Theodore Bethea; four sisters: Marie Presley, Cora M. Johnson, Leola Arthur and Mary S. Bethea. Three aunts: Fannie Kennedy, Eva N. Williams, and Frances Spencer. She will also be missed by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
