Mrs. Gail Morgan Butler was born on December 21, 1957, in Claxton (Evans County), Georgia to the late Theron and Dorothy Morgan. Gail was a member of the Claxton High School graduating Class of 1976. After graduation, she continued her education at Swainsboro Area Vocational-Technical School where she earned her Business Education (Clerical) Diploma on June 7, 1979. She accepted Christ into her life at an early age and joined St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church in Daisy, Georgia, where she was a faithful member. The lovely Gail was united in Holy Matrimony on February 3, 1978, to the late Jeffrey Tyrone Butler. From this union, she was blessed to raise two children: a son, Gabriel Alphonso Morgan, and a daughter, Danielle Jene' Thomas. Gail was strong-willed, very independent, and knowledgeable. She loved her family deeply and was devoted to providing for their needs. She always had friendly words, wore a warm permanent smile, and had a contagious laugh. Gail will be remembered for her affectionate loving and giving spirit. Her passion for her family and friends is something that will always be remembered. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a grandson, Trey Morgan. Gail departed this life on Friday, December 22, 2023, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro, Georgia. Memories of love and life will be cherished by: her son, Gabriel (Natasha) Morgan of Lawrenceville, Georgia; her daughter, Danielle (Terrence) Thomas of Forsyth, Georgia; four grandchildren: Tashawn Morgan, Gabriana Morgan, Natali Morgan and Terrence Thomas, Jr.; and a host of loving cousins, other relatives, and friends.
