Mr. James Ira Coney was born on July 26, 1960 in Bulloch County, Georgia to the late Mr. Ira Willie Coney and the late Mrs. Idella King Coney. He attended the Bulloch County school system, and worked as a farmer all of his life.
James was preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents, two brothers, Steven Coney and Willie Auther Coney; two uncles, James King and John King, Sr.; one niece, Gwenella Jordan and one great-niece, McKenzie Faith Marks.
Mr. James Coney leaves the following loved ones to cherish many precious memories: A special friend, Ms. Martha Hunter of Metter, Georgia; six sisters: Ms. Della Mae Coney, Ms. Mary Ann Addison, Ms. Betty Ann Lanier, and Mrs. Willie Pearl Coney-Williams (James), all of Metter, Georgia; Mrs. Jewel Lynn Shipman (Willie) and Ms. Gwen Coney, both of Statesboro, Georgia; seven brothers: Mrs. Tony Coney, Mr. Thelous Coney, Mr. Leo Coney, Mr. Randy Coney (Michelle), Mr. Vine Lee Coney, and Mr. Isaac Coney, all of Metter, Georgia and Mr. Willie Coney (Minnie) of Collins, Georgia; two aunts: Mrs. Queenie Jameson (Leon) of Metter and Mrs. Josie Smith of Miami, Florida; two uncles, Mr. Waldo Coney of Metter, Georgia and Mr. Leo Coney (Trish) of Homestead, Florida; four stepsons, two stepdaughters, and a host of loving and caring nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
