John Wesley Deloach, Sr. was born on November 17, 1965, in Candler County, Georgia, to the late Lenton and Margaret Sapp Deloach. John’s mother passed away when he was young; his father then married the late Mary Deloach. John attended public schools in Metter, where he built lifelong friendships and strong community ties. Later in life, he proudly earned his General Educational Development (GED) diploma, demonstrating his determination, resilience, and commitment to personal growth and education.
In 1985, John enlisted in the Army National Guard and faithfully served his country with pride and honor. As a highly decorated veteran, he received numerous awards and commendations throughout his military career, reflecting his dedication, leadership, and unwavering commitment to service. Some of these include: the Army Commendation Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, and Combat Action Badge. After faithfully serving his country, John was honorably discharged in 2007.
Following his military career, he dedicated 41 years to the trucking industry, working with TLD Logistics in Bloomingdale, Georgia. John was recognized throughout his trucking career for his outstanding safety record and received multiple Safe Driving Awards. Known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and determination, he took great pride in providing for his family and building lasting relationships throughout his career.
John was a faithful member of Sam’s Creek Missionary Baptist Church, where he proudly served as a Deacon and sang in the church choir. His strong faith, servant’s heart, and love for worship were evident throughout his life and left a lasting impact on his church family and community.
On Tuesday, May 12, 2026, John entered eternal rest, leaving behind a legacy of honor, faith, and service. Throughout his life, John faithfully served his country, his community, his church, and his family with strength, dedication, and compassion. Whether through his military career, his years of hard work, or his service within the church, he touched the lives of many and will be remembered for his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to others.
John was preceded in death by his father, Lenton Deloach; his mothers: Margaret Sapp Deloach and Mary Deloach; his sister, Loretta Byrd; and his brother, Tony Deloach.
He leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memory: his loving wife, Mrs. Yolanda Deloach of Metter, Georgia; his mother-in-law: Ms. Glenver Griffin (Calvin Kennedy) of Metter, Georgia; his children: Mr. John Deloach, Jr. (Tambi Johnson) of Statesboro, Georgia, Mr. Larenzo Robinson (Alexia Robinson) of Hephzibah, Georgia, Ms. Tiameca Robinson of Augusta, Georgia, Mr. Rashad Deloach of Garfield, Georgia; Mrs. Kianti Bautista (Rigoberto Bautista) of Metter, Georgia, Mr. Cody Deloach (Cassandra Brown) of Metter, Georgia, Mrs. Athena Graham (Jermaine Graham) of Statesboro, Georgia, and Ms. Asha Cliett of Metter, Georgia; his siblings: Mr. Edward Deloach (Mamie Deloach) of Swainsboro, Georgia, Mr. Terry Deloach (Brenda Deloach), Ms. Linda Deloach, Ms. Dedra Deloach, Mr. Lenton Shawn Deloach and Mr. Jerrial Deloach, all of Metter, Georgia; twenty-six grandchildren; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
