Mrs. Juanita Stafford Mobley was born on April 21, 1945 in Claxton, Georgia to the late Mr. Benjamin Stafford, Sr. and the late Mrs. Rosetta Stafford. She departed this life after a brief illness on August 12, 2020 in Claxton, Georgia. She joined St. John Missionary Baptist Church at an early age where she attended faithfully until her health failed. Mrs. Mobley was a 1963 graduate of the Evans County High School (home of the Longhorns). After high school, Mrs. Mobley lived a few years in Corning, New York, where she worked as a secretary. Upon returning to Georgia, she worked in various jobs as a housekeeper and as a cafeteria/restaurant worker. Mrs. Mobley was especially known for her love of accessorizing her wardrobe. She loved having her outfits matching to coincide with her nail polish and lip color that she chose for that day. She was always color coordinated, right down to her socks and shoes. Mrs. Mobley was also an avid sports fan. One of her favorite teams was the Atlanta Braves. She enjoyed listening to them on the radio as well as watching them on the television. And if they would happen to win that night, you could most certainly expect a phone call from her, bragging about her "Braves". Mrs. Mobley will be sadly missed by all who had the opportunity to meet her. She was a loving, kind woman that will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by three sisters: Mrs. Elease Freeman, Mrs. Essie Mae Allen and Mrs. Catherine Lucas; three brothers: Mr. Frederick Stafford, Mr. Benjamin Stafford, Jr., and Mr. VIrgil Stafford. Mrs. Juanita Mobley leaves to cherish fond memories: a loving, devoted son, Mr. Chris (Laszla) Mobley of Vidalia, Georgia; a grandson, Kelsey of Savannah, Georgia; three loving sisters: Mrs. Lou A. Hayes of Atlanta, Georgia, Mrs. Dorothy Stafford and Mrs. Margaret Stafford, both of Claxton, Georgia; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Ann Stafford of Corning, New York; a special friend, Mr. Milton Curry of Claxton, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
