Obituary

Sister Lois Ann Williams was born in Emanuel County on November 11, 1936, the youngest of fourteen children born to the late Dea. Anthony Smith and Sis. Annie Bell Walker Smith. Lois was a member of Willow Spring Baptist Church, where she was baptized under the pastoral leadership of Rev. M.C. Williams. Lois was affectionately known to everyone as "Lo". She found joy in working in the church and singing in the choir. She dearly loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Lois worked for many years as a laundress and a cook at the Adolescent Center for troubled teens. She truly enjoyed her time with the children. Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Williams and her daughter, Phyllis Elwin Ricks (Billy). She entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 14, 2021. Lois leaves the following loved ones behind to mourn her passing: three sons: Mr. Clarence Williams, Jr. (Faye) of Evans, Georgia, Mr. Mitchell Williams (Angela) of Wellington, Florida, and Mr. Gregory L. Williams (Cynthia) of Swainsboro, Georgia; ten grandchildren: Ms. Tawana Ricks, Mr. Billy Ricks, Jr., Mr. Rondell Ricks, Ms. Chenille Williams, Ms. Colleen Williams, Mrs. Kristal Reeves (Aaron), Mr. Cameron Williams, Mr. Samuel Williams (Arlease), Ms. Jasmyne Williams, Mr. Joseph Williams, Ms. Nicole Gamble, Ms. Kendra Worthen, and Mr. Eric Worthen; seven great-grandchildren: Tommy Porter, Kanye Kaye, Bryanna Forrest, Aaron Reeves, Jr., Arianna Reeves, Myla Hill, and Samye Williams; a very close, lifelong friend, Ms. Annette Doyle of Swainsboro, Georgia; and a host of loving and caring relatives and friends.
