Malik Sayeed Murphy was born to David and Lesley Murphy on December 26, 1999 in Claxton Ga. He was a Student Athletic at Tattnall County High School he was an honor student who loved track and field and football. Malik's dream was to continue his education at Augusta University to obtain a degree in Dentistry while doing track and field. He will be fondly remembered by his parents, David and Lesley Murphy of Glennville, GA; three brothers: Tyree Murphy and Rakiael Murphy of Hinesville, GA and Exzavior Murphy of Hinesville, GA; one cousin who was like a brother: Nasmeek of Hinesville, GA; two cousins who were like sisters: Cayla of Hinesville, GA, and Lewaun Murphy of Glennville, GA; his grandparents: Carrie & Rickey Wicker; the late Lavern Murphy (grandmother) and David Soloman (grandfather); the late Rita Mae and Robert Murphy and Charles Cooper, grandparents, all of Glennville, GA; one great-aunt Debra Murphy of Glennville, GA; two aunts Rochelle (Christopher) Hardee of Warner Robins GA, and LaShanda (Maurice) of Hinesville, GA; one uncle: Anthony Wicker of South Carolina; cousins: Christopher and Ora Wicker of Baxley, GA; Tamarick, Tamahni, Tashayl; four nephews and two nieces and host of aunts, uncles, cousins, loved ones and special friends.
