Obituary

Margaret Ann Boston Bright, daughter of the late Robert Lee Brown and Minnie Lee Murphy, was born on April 11, 1950 in Swainsboro, Georgia. She was raised in Emanuel County and graduated from Emanuel County Elementary and High School. She attended Swainsboro Technical College, where she earned a degree in Cosmetology. Margaret was married to Moses Lee Bright, Sr. for over 54 years, and to this union, two children were born. At an early age, Margaret joined The Greater St. James Missionary Baptist Church. Over the years, she served faithfully and diligently in many of the ministries, and as Church Clerk. Margaret was active in the community and was also a member of various organizations. Margaret Bright was also honored to be Grand Marshal of the MLK Parade, and she has also received other recognitions and awards for her accomplishments over the years. Margaret was employed by the Emanuel County Tax Commissioners Office for over 24 years.Margaret was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, who enjoyed traveling and entertaining with her friends, classmates, and family and spending quality time with her most valued possessions, her children. She was caring, loving and willing to help anyone who was in need. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers: John Edward and Samuel Murphy.She leaves a legacy of loving memories to: her husband, Moses Lee Bright, Sr.; her children: Angela (Raymond) Hairston of Buford, Georgia and Moses Lee Bright, Jr of Atlanta, Georgia; three grandchildren: Sharaun Bright, Christian Bright, Briana Hairston; two brothers-in-law: Jesse (Kaytrene) Bright and Isaac (Teresa) Bright, both of Swainsboro, Georgia; one sister-in-law, Lillie Murphy of Twin City, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
