On Wed, December 6, 2023, Mrs. Mattie Mae Archie departed this life peacefully. She was born July 1, 1927, in Emanuel County, Georgia to the late Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Burnett. Mattie Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Aaron Archie, Sr; a son, Roger Lee Burnett; a stepson, Aaron Archie, Jr.; a grandson, Charles "Ikie" Burnett, Jr.; three sisters: Hattie Mae Walker, Annie Mae Jones, and Annie Lou Burnett; her brother-in law and sister-in-law: Moses and Leona Archie. She was employed with Creston Manufacturing Company in Swainsboro, Georgia, for over thirty years. She was a member of Trinity Missionary Baptist Church for many years. Mrs. Mattie Mae Archie leaves the following loved ones to cherish many fond memories: her son, Mr. Charles "Pee Wee" Burnett (Minnie Williams); a stepdaughter, Ms. Barbara Rasheed; her grandchildren: Tanginika Woods (Timothy Woods), Vonkesia Williams, and Ryan "Zeke" Burnett; a special Goddaughter, Ms. Carolyn Daniels; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
