Obituary for Johnny Lee Williams
Sunrise…
Mr. Johnny Lee Williams was born November 12, 1943. He was the second child to bless the union of the late Mr. Leroy and Mrs. Mamie Williams of Swainsboro, Georgia. Johnny was a 1963 graduate of Emanuel County High School. At an early age, he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was an active member of Kingdom Now Christian Church in Norcross, Georgia. He furthered his education by obtaining his barber license at a barbering school in Atlanta, Georgia.

High Noon…
Johnny was not one to sit down for long. After retiring from Eastern Airlines as a Grounds Operator for twenty-five years, he became a successful barber. All of these jobs were befitting because he was able to showcase his charisma, charm, and gift of chatter (Johnny had a big personality and a knack for storytelling). He took pride in being the first black DJ in his hometown of Swainsboro. His work ethic, love and dedication to being the best barber was unwavering. He loved and trusted deeply, and stayed in contact with him throughout his lifetime.

Sunset…
On the afternoon of August 15, 2016 God, in His infinite wisdom, dispatched an angel to retrieve his faithful servant. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Williams; his sister, Mary Suttles; and his brother, Levorn Williams.

Johnny left an everlasting impression on everyone he encountered. He leaves to cherish many precious memories with his wife, Mrs. Mary Williams of Atlanta, Georgia; his children: Mr. Jonathan Clark, Mr. Brandon Williams, Ms. Tammi Williams, and Mrs. Adrian Jenkins (Ali), stepdaughter, all of Atlanta, Georgia, and Mr. Torres Clark, stepson, of Athens, Georgia; his granddaughter, Miss Tajah Williams of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; two sisters: Mrs. Cleo Heflin (Stacy) of Athens, Georgia and Mrs. Bernetta Davis of Swainsboro, Georgia; four brothers: Mr. Ronald Williams (Angela) of Mission Hills, California; Dr. Leroy Williams, Jr. (Cynthia) of Fountain Inn, South Carolina, Mr. Lee Arthur Williams (Margaret) and Mr. Robert Williams, both of Swainsboro, Georgia; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
