Obituary for Sellers Jones, Jr.
Mr. Sellers Jones, Jr. was born November 5, 1950, the baby boy of seven children born to the late Mr. Sellers Sr. and the late Mrs. Thelma Jones, in Emanuel County, GA.
He was educated in the Emanuel County public school system and attended The Greater St. James Missionary Baptist Church before serving in the United States Army, where he received an Honorable Discharge. Sellers later worked for such companies as Roper, Handi House, and Swainsboro Country Club before retiring to pursue his love of fishing. Loving and free-spirited, Sellers brought laughter to all who knew him. His family, who affectionately called him, “Junebug” and “Uncle Buggy” marveled at his keen ability to answer all the questions on Jeopardy, and puzzle solving on Wheel of Fortune.
Sellers was preceded in death by his parents, Sellers Sr. and Thelma Jones, and his nephew Hiawatha. He leaves to mourn and cherish fond memories: his sisters, Mary Lou, Glenda(Terry), Patricia(Willie), and Wylene(Marcus); his brothers, Waitus and Meredith(Dot); and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great nephews, cousins, and other loving friends.
