Mr. Hershel Mincey was born in Metter, Georgia on December 2, 1953 to Ms. Willie Mae Mincey and Mr. Robert Harvey Jr. He attended the public schools of Candler county.
Hersel relocated to Vidalia, Georgia many years ago, and was employed by Louisiana Pacific in the lumber yard. After retiring, he returned to live in Metter. He loved (trying) to clean fish and playing cards.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Lee Edward Mincey and James Louis Harvey; and two sisters: Brunneta Harvey and Christina Harvey.
Hershel Mincey is survived by the following loved ones: six sisters: Pastor Margaret (Dennis) Weaver of Twin City, Georgia, Ms. Karen Donaldson and Ms. Georgie Mincey, both of Metter, Georgia, Ms. Diane Harvey of Naples, Florida, Ms. Grace Brack of Statesboro, Georgia, and Ms. Gloria Joiner of Detroit, Michigan; four brothers: Mr. Willie Louis Simmons, Mr. Wade Mincey, Mr. Elisha Mincey, and Mr. Kermit (Glenis) Donaldson, all of Metter, Georgia; two sisters-in-law: Mrs. Carol Mincey and Mrs. Linda Mincey, both of Metter, Georgia; a special friend, Mr. Stanley Mincey of Metter, Georgia; four aunts, one uncle, and many loving and caring nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
