Deacon Ulysses (Tuggie) Bacon was the first born to the late Mr. Loring and Mrs. Georgia Baker Bacon of Evans County, Georgia. Deacon Bacon joined Jerusalem Baptist Church in Pembroke, Georgia at an early age, where he was a faithful servant of God. Deacon Bacon attended and was educated in the Evans County School System, Evans County, Georgia. Later he met and married his sweetheart, Mrs. Catherine Everette Bacon on July 1, 1951, and unto this union two sons were born.
Deacon Bacon also became active in his wife’s church in Cobbtown, Georgia, Charlton Grove Baptist Church, where he remained active until his health began to fail. He was a talented carpenter who loved to work with his hands and help others. Deacon Bacon also loved talking about his family.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Loring and Georgia Baker Bacon; his wife, Catherine Everette Bacon; one infant son; two brothers: Willen Lorinza Baco and Early Seloy Bacon; and one favorite niece, May Dell Baker Holland.
Deacon Ulysses Bacon leaves the following loved ones to cherish many fond memories: one son, Loring Bacon on Savannah, Georgia; His Care Team: his Goddaughter, Gussie Murphy of Savannah, Georgia; a niece, Evette Moss of Brunswick, Georgia; two nephews, Stanley Floyd Bacon of Claxton, Georgia and Deacon Marvin Everette of Cobbtown, Georgia; one granddaughter, Kara Bacon of Dallas, Texas; one sister-in-law, Ruby Dell Baker of Sylvania, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
