Pecola Roberts
Hall
August 15, 1933 – April 28, 2026
On August 15, 1933, it was time for Pecola Roberts to enter the world, and she was born with a zest for life to the late Paul and Queen Esther Roberts in Screven’s County, Georgia. She attended Public school at Evans County High School in Claxton, Georgia. On November 8, 1951, she married the late Willie Lee Hall and together they raised five children.
She accepted Christ and joined First African Baptist Church in Claxton, Georgia where she served faithfully. Pecola served as a member of the Deaconess Board, a Sunday School teacher and the Sunday School Superintendent for over 40 years.
She worked for the Claxton Poultry Company for 27 years in several job roles. During her time there she served as a confidante, counselor and friend to an endless number of employees dealing with the day-to-day challenges in work and home life. She was affectionately called Ms. Pecola.
She leaves to cherish her memory five children Bobby Roberts (Brenda), Willie James Hall (Linda), Terry Hall, Linda Hall Pitts (Marcellus) and Brenda Greene; grandchildren: Demetrius Roberts (Heather), Vanessa Roberts, Michael Hall, Christopher Hall (Jennifer), Cynthia Hall Mayner (Nicholas), Amanda Branch and Olivia Greene; Four Sisters: Marvena Williams, Mae Eva Edwards (Robert), Geneva Thomas and one Brother: Jesse Roberts; a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Pecola was a strong, independent, kind and caring woman and she will be greatly missed by many and will be remembered always.
