Mrs. Rosa Lee Hobbs was born on December 25, 1943 to Mose Butler and Vinnie Mosley, in Metter, Georgia. She attended Candler Country Training School during her early years. Upon reaching adulthood, she was a homemaker and cook. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie James Hobbs, one daughter, Rosetta Hodges, and one son, Isaac Butler.
Mrs. Rosa passed into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 13, 2017. She leaves the following loved ones: a daughter, Gazette Johnson of Metter, Georgia; four sons: Sammie Butler, James Butler, Willie Butler and Richard Hobbs, all of Metter, Georgia; three sisters: Ella Mae Holloway and Janie Mae Mincey, both of Metter, Georgia and Leola Phillips of Miami, Florida; five sisters-in-law: Mary L. Henry (James) of Charlotte, North Carolina, Voncile Powell of Fairbluff, North Carolina, Mary Ann Brunson (Willie) of Chicago, Illinois, Wyonnie Mincey (Eddie) and Janice Donaldson (Willie), both of Metter, Georgia; four brothers-in-law: McArthur Hobbs of Chicago, Illinois, Vernell Hobbs of Atlanta, Georgia; Johnny Hobbs of Augusta, Georgia and Tony Hobbs of Statesboro, Georgia; a devoted friend, James Cooper of Metter, Georgia; a devoted son-in-law, Amos Hodges of Statesboro, Georgia; eighteen grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild; many loving and caring nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
