Mr. Samuel "Tommy" Byrd was born on October 14, 1934 in Tattnall county to the late Mr. & Mrs. Elix Byrd. He resided in Evans county, and departed this life on Saturday, August 13, 2022. He was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Mrs. Ginnie Byrd, and to this union eight children were born. One child, John Byrd, preceded him in death. Samuel "Tommy" Byrd leaves the following loved ones behind to cherish many fond memories: three sons: Mr. Samuel (Louise) Byrd, Mr. Walter Byrd and Mr. Gregory Byrd; four daughters: Ms. Melrose Grant, Ms. Sarah Byrd, Mrs. Sharon (Jessie) Scott, and Ms. Samantha Byrd; one daughter-in-law, Ms. Corrine Byrd; two sisters: Ms. Sarah Adams and Ms. Irene Hogan; sixteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
