Ms. Shaunta Latoya Gibson was born in Statesboro, Georgia on February 9, 1987 to Mr. Wendell Gibson and Mrs. Laura Gibson. At an early age, she joined Sams Creek Baptist Church. She attended the public school system in Candler County. Shaunta was preceded in death by: her maternal grandparents: Mary Lewis Turner, James Webb, Sr., and George Turner, Sr., and her paternal grandparents: Owen Gibson and Geneva Gibson. She departed this life on April 27, 2016 from Georgia Regents University Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia after a short illness. Shaunta leaves the following loved ones to cherish her memory: one daughter, Laurelle Jordan and one son, Jaydon Jordan, both of Swainsboro, Georgia; her parents, Mrs. Laura Gibson (Alphonso) of Swainsboro, Georgia and Mr. Wendell Gibson (Jeanette) of Statesboro, Georgia; two brothers: Mr. Antawn Webb of Atlanta, Georgia and Mr. Wendell Gibson, Jr. of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; one sister, Ms. Shaura Gibson of Montgomery, Alabama; and a host of loving and caring aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
