Mrs. Shirley Jean Lott Dixon was born on August 10, 1946 to the late Mr. Joe and Mrs. Leatrice Lott in Emanuel County, Georgia. Shirley was called into eternal rest after an extended illness on Friday, February 9, 2018 at University Hospital in Augusta, Georgia. Shirley attended the Emanuel County school system. A member of Trinity Missionary Baptist Church, she served faithfully on the Usher Board for many years. Shirley was employed as a Nurse's Aide at the Retirement Inn in Swainsboro, Georgia, until her retirement. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Dixon, Sr.; three brothers: Herman Lott, Willie Forest, and Lynn Lott; and one sister, Gladys Pierce. Shirley leaves the following loved ones to cherish many special memories: her loving sons: Mr. Charles (Annette) Dixon and Mr. Johnnie Lee (Tia) Dixon, both of Swainsboro, Georgia; six sisters: Ms. Frances Carswell of Tampa, Florida, Ms. Ruby L. Jackson of Orlando, Florida, Ms. Josephine Morgan of Swainsboro, Georgia, Ms. Barbara Redding of Metter, Georgia, Ms. Mary L. Brown of Statesboro, Georgia, and Mrs. Patricia (Daniel) Rucker of Midville, Georgia; four brothers: Mr. Joe (Diane) Lott and Mr. Willie Lott, both of Mesquite, Texas, Mr. Larry (Yvonne) Lott and Mr. Lyndon Lott, both of Swainsboro, Georgia; twelve grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and a host of loving and caring nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
