Obituary for Conney Fay Mercer-Webb
With profound sadness the Mercer-Webb family announces the passing of their beloved Conney Fay, a loving and devoted wife, mother, and friend to all whose lives she touched. On September 8, 2021, she departed this life. She was born October 2, 1967, in Emanuel County, the only daughter of Rearcie Mercer and the late Willie Mercer.
After her graduation from the Emanuel County School System, Conney worked at Louis Dental Center, for 22 years, and during this time she also attended Marketing classes at Swainsboro Technical College, and she received an Associate’s Degree from Kaplan University. She was able to start her own business to assist elderly and disabled persons with their finances and she owned real estate to help people with housing. Conney Fay, never stopped pursuing her dream to own her own business and that's exactly what she accomplished.
Conney Fay was a single mother and she raised two handsome and intelligent men. She taught them to always do things the right way and to be there for one another. She loved her boys, and she was very proud of the men they have become. Mrs. Mercer-Webb was preceded in death by her father, Willie Mercer.
She is survived by her husband, James Webb, her mother Rearcie Mercer, both of Swainsboro Georgia; two children, Tekoya (DeAndrea) Shuemake, Statesboro, Georgia, and Anthony (Kimberly) Mercer, Swainsboro, Georgia; three brothers, Wayne (Eugenia) Mercer, Mitchell Mercer, and James (Theresa) Mercer, all of Swainsboro, Georgia; six grandchildren, one brother-n-law, six sister-n-laws, aunts, uncles, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and close friends.
